Link (リンク, Rinku?) is a fictional character, and the main protagonist in Nintendo‘s The Legend of Zelda series of video games. Created by Japanese game designer Shigeru Miyamoto, The Legend of Zelda has sold over 47 million copies worldwide as of 2007.[1] Link has been featured in other video games from Nintendo, including its merchandising, comic books, and an animated television program. Link was awarded with a star on the Walk of Game in 2005, alongside Mario and Sonic the Hedgehog.[2]

Created by prominent game designer Shigeru Miyamoto, Luigi is portrayed as the slightly younger fraternal twin brother of Nintendo’s mascot Mario, and appears in many games throughout the Mario series, frequently as a sidekick or deuteragonist to his brother.

R2-D2 (phonetically spelled Artoo-Detoo, and called “Artoo” for short), is a fictional character in the Star Wars universe. An astromech droid, R2-D2 is a major character throughout all six Star Wars films. He joins or supports Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader, Obi-Wan Kenobi (portrayed by Alec Guinness and Ewan McGregor), and R2-D2’s droid companion C-3PO (played by Anthony Daniels) in various points in the saga. R2-D2 was played by Kenny Baker. The original R2-D2 was designed by John Stears and specially created by Australian firm Petric Engineering and English firm C&L Developments.[citation needed] Many scenes also made use of radio controlled and CGI versions of the character. Both the original props of R2-D2 and C-3PO used in filming are used as audio-animatronics in the queue area of Disneyland‘s Star Tours ride.

Optimus Prime is a fictional character from the Transformers franchise. Prime is the leader of the Autobots, a faction of heroic Transformers from the fictional planet Cybertron who wage their battles to destroy the evil forces of the Decepticons.
