Link (リンク, Rinku?) is a fictional character, and the main protagonist in Nintendo‘s The Legend of Zelda series of video games. Created by Japanese game designer Shigeru Miyamoto, The Legend of Zelda has sold over 47 million copies worldwide as of 2007.[1] Link has been featured in other video games from Nintendo, including its merchandising, comic books, and an animated television program. Link was awarded with a star on the Walk of Game in 2005, alongside Mario and Sonic the Hedgehog.[2]

Luigi (ルイージ, Ruīji?) is a fictional character, featured in video games and related media released by Nintendo. Created by prominent game designer Shigeru Miyamoto, Luigi is portrayed as the slightly younger fraternal twin brother of Nintendo’s mascot Mario, and appears in many games throughout the Mario series, frequently as a sidekick or deuteragonist to his brother.
